This day it is necessary for everyone to help to mark the highest level and to send messages to all relevant institutions, that by silencing the facts is one quo of approval of those negative trends. Great mobilization and open support from all sides is needed. August 2, 1944 happened, but it must never be repeated again.
And that's why it is necessary for state-owned European and even world institutions to be open to solving the problems that the Roma face. In addition to declarative consent, active cooperation and assistance in all fields is also needed.
Therefore, we encourage all IRU members and delegates, all Roma activists from all human rights organizations and all others, need a consistent repetition of their rights and without silencing the facts.
Only then August 2nd will remain in memory, will not be forgotten, and contribute all together, never again and again. - said in the statement of the International Roma Union - IRU Population Demolition on 2 August - the day of the Roma Holocaust.
