At the meeting, which lasted almost two days,representatives of non-governmental organizations and politicians activists exchanged experience in working on issues of presence, strengthened and increased number representatives of Roma and Travelers in political life in their countries, members of the Council Europe.

What was desired by this meeting was to draw attention to the insufficient presence of Roma and Travelers on the political scene in Europe and therefore can be concluded: 

Constructive dialogue at high: among of all stakeholders, experts and non-governmental organizations and governmental organizations from the field on policies and practices for improvementand and support representatives of Roma and Travelers on the political scene, in public life and his integral part of public life and as an integral part mechanisms for decision making. 

Good practices have been identified to increase the participation of Roma and Travelers in the political life and decision-making mechanisms, especially for Roma women and youth. key policy areas of the Council Europe (Congress, Gender Equality Unit, Department of Good Governance, Department for Election Assistance, Schools of Political Studies) which complement each other with the issues of Roma and Travelers questions have been raised regarding the issues that are efficient in terms of efficiency political participation of Roma women and identified are ways of full and effective support of women Roma woman in the processes of political participation.

- The needs of meaningful political participation have been raised of young people and they are worried that they would

young people in political life and should be insisted on supporting long-term capacity building initiatives.

 

Made recommendations.

A stronger emphasis should be given to political participation Roma and Travellers in the framework CAHROOM with a request for Member States  Europe to make a strong Commitment to engage these questions its national strategies for the inclusion of Roma ts national strategies for the inclusion of Roma.

 

Continue dialogue within the Council of Europe on issues of political partisation Roma and Travellers in politics public life and mechanisms of decision-making should be supported through establishing a working group which will be support for the Plans Thematic activities for inclusion Roma and Travelers.

It should be provided with statements of devotion he policy of key European Integration Councils for inclusion and their mandates for Roma perspectives and Travelers, who are involved in politics, public life and mechanism making decision.

It should be set up larger visibility and define activities and define activities by sectors of the European Council.

 

After the 5th dialogue must be followed outcomes in other activities political participation as it is for example, the World Forum of Democracy,so as to ensure the visibility of the 

Roma, especially the enrollment of young Roma, in Council of Europe Politics Studies.

 

Roma civil society organizations need they still support to play a key role in Roma communities at in becoming more visible through political participation in the election process and democratic rights, in mobilizing Roma to seek their rights in particular at the local level for effective political participation supporting dialogue between local authorities and Roma community in strengthening the community's influence of the community in the political discussions.
